How To Factory Reset The Nextbook Tablet?

Hey there, do you own a Nextbook tablet? As We all know that Nextbook tablets are very famous in North America, many people face various types of problems after many years of using this tablet. Surprisingly, we noticed that many software-based problems could be solved by hard resetting the tablet.

So, how to factory reset the Nextbook tablet? Follow the instruction below:   

Hard Resetting The Nextbook Tablet

There are a few things you need to do before approaching the hard reset. 

  • First, copy all of your necessary data to the SD card because hard resetting a laptop will erase the tablet’s internal storage.
  • Second, take a backup of your contact numbers or other personal details as these will be wiped out too.

Now, If you have done the above two steps, let’s get on to the main steps to hard reset the Nextbook tablet.

  • Step 1: Turn off the tablet completely. Make sure the battery has 80% or more charge in it.
  • Step 2: while the tablet is turned off, press the power button and the volume down button simultaneously. Keep the two buttons pressed for at least 3 seconds until you see your screen light up.
  • Step 3: a screen should appear to you with the following texts (shown in the picture):

“Vol+/- KEY: select other option

NORMAL BOOT

Power key: Enter upper mode “.

  • Step 4: Press the volume down button once. You should see the text “NORMAL BOOT” changing to “POWER OFF.” 

Now, once again, press the volume down button. This time, you should see the text “POWER OFF” changing into “RECOVERY MODE.”

  • Step 5: When you see the text “RECOVERY MODE” on your screen, press the power button.
  • Step 6: Upon pressing the power button, the tablet will show you a screen with a logo of an android robot lying down (as shown in the picture). 
  • Step 7: Wait a few seconds after you see the logo. Then, press the volume up or volume down button a few times. Then, you should see a menu appearing on the screen with the following options(shown in the picture):

“Reboot system now

Apply update from ADB

Wipe data/factory reset

Wipe cache partition

Reboot to bootloader

Power down

View recovery logs”.

  • Step 8: Now, press the volume down button two times. You will see the selection cursor move to the “wipe data/factory reset” option. 
  • Step 9: In this step, press the power button to enter the “wipe data/factory reset” option.
  • Step 10: Then, a screen will appear to you with the text “confirm wipe to all users data? THIS CANNOT BE UNDONE”. Also, You’ll see an option with the text “Yes — delete all user data” below.
  • Step 11: Now, you’ll have to press the volume down button 7 times to move the selection cursor to the option “Yes — delete all user data.” And, press the power button.
  • Step 12: Upon completing the above step, you will see a screen showing you the progress of hard resetting the laptop (shown in the picture).
  • Step 13: After the hard resetting process is complete, you should see a screen with the options as below: 

“Reboot system now

Apply update from ADB

Wipe data/factory reset

Wipe cache partition

Reboot to bootloader

Power down

View recovery logs.”

  • Step 14: In this level, the selection car show should be on the first option, “reboot system now.” You only have to press the power button so that the tablet is rebooted.
  • Step 15: At last, your tablet should be rebooting and starting anew. You’ll just have to go through the startup options as you had to when you turned on the tablet for the first time after you purchased it.
