Procedure To Get Iqama for Family

Required Documents

In order to complete the family iqama procedure for your dependents, you will need to clear scan and make an FDF file of the following documents:

  • A medical fitness certificate from an approved clinic/lab
  • Medical insurance from the same company as the family head
  • The completed iqama form
  • Payment for the Dependent Fee. The stay for the first 90 days is free, after that, you will need to pay the dependent fee at SR 400/dependent/month.
  • A copy of the sponsor’s iqama + passport
  • Pictures of each dependent
  • Passport copies of the dependents
  • Saudi visa copies of the dependents
  • The passport page with the arrival stamp
  • The passport page with the border number written on it.

How to Apply Iqama for Family through Absher?

If you want to apply for an Iqama for your dependents in Saudi Arabia, you will need to follow these steps. First, you will need to log in to your Absher account and go to the “Services” tab. Then, under “My Services”, select the “Passports” option. After that, click on the “Tawasul” option. Finally, click on the “New Request” button. On the next screen, you will need to select the following settings: 

Request Description: Write the border number of all dependents. In the case of kids above 18 years, write in the description that she is not married. 

Attachment: Attach the PDF file (required size) you have created before. You can resize the PDF file online.

How to Print the Iqama?

After logging into your Absher account and selecting the “General Services” option, click on “Passports” and then select “Tawasul”. Choose “Inquire for Requests” and select “family iqama procedure”. If your request is accepted, you can visit the Jawazat office to get the print of the Iqama along with the following documents: the print of the Tawasul request, all the above-mentioned documents, and a book Jawazat appointment with the service: Resident Services.

The Jawazat officer will print your Iqama immediately. However, it is important to check the details on the Iqama, such as your name and religion, to ensure they are correct. If any of the information is incorrect, you can visit the correction counter.
