Solution One: Using A Straw

  • Step 1: Shut down the laptop and disconnect the power source. Make sure the laptop is completely cooled down and not running anymore.

  • Step 2: Obtain a straw (straws that are used to drink juice or smoothies). And tap the tip of the straw with your thumb finger. Flatten it by pressing it with your thumb.

  • Step 3: Aim the flattened tip of the straw towards the slits of the air vents of your laptop.

  • Step 4: Blow air into the straw with your mouth. Make sure any moisture content from your mouth does not get into the straw. It could result in hardware damage to your laptop. So, be careful in this step.

Solution Two: Using A Paintbrush

  • Step 1: This method will require you to have a medium-sized paintbrush. Of course, the brush has to be a new one that hasn’t been used for painting.

  • Step 2: locate your laptop’s air vents and slowly apply the paintbrush on your laptop’s air vent slits to clean the accumulated dust.

  • Step 3: Also, apply the brush on the laptop keyboard in a horizontal and vertical motion. Don’t apply too much force when applying the brush on the keyboard lest the keyboard keys get damaged.
