How To Activate Touchpal Keyboard?
1. Download app: Navigate to Google Play Store on your Android phone. Or, If you have an iPhone, navigate to the App Store on your phone.
In the search bar, type “Touchpal keyboard,” You will find an app with a similar icon as the picture below. Download it to your phone by tapping the “install” icon.
2. Enabling keyboard: now that you have the Touchpal Keyboard installed in your smartphone, you’ll need to go ahead and enable it from the settings of your phone.
Go to your phone’s Settings app. In the search bar of the Settings app, search with the phrase “input settings.” You’ll see a “language and input settings” section popping up in the search result. Enter that section and activate the keyboard.
3. Understanding features of a keyboard: as you enter the keyboard from the app drawer, you’ll see there are two types of input methods that you can use: 1. touch typing 2. swipe typing.
There are also various icons on the top side of the keyboard. Upon clicking on the first icon that looks like a finger, you will see an option to enable the Word Gesture(curve) or Sentence Gesture option(wave) option. You’ll also have the option to activate or deactivate Auto-Correction on the keyboard. Furthermore, One-Handed Mode and Keyboard Resizing options are available in the Touchpad Keyboard too.
Additional keyboard modes are available, such as T+ layout, T6 layout, T12 layout, etc. A genius option in this keyboard is the Text To Voice option. To use it, tap on the microphone icon. To complete copy /paste/ select /cut keyboard actions, you can press the “I” icon with the arrows.
- Using method: Having the Curve and Wave option activated will facilitate you to slide your typing fingers on the letter icons, enabling you to type. There are letter icons with a number or symbol visible inside them. You can tap them upward to input the number or downward to input the symbol.
The Wave option enabled will allow you to see your next expected word that the keyboard will actively predict. You can use this text prediction feature for faster typing.
